John F. LaGuardia Airport

LaGuardia Airport is an airport in the northern part of the New York City borough of Queens in the United States. It is on the waterfront of Flushing Bay and Bowery Bay in East Elmhurst and borders the neighborhoods of East Elmhurst, Astoria, and Jackson Heights. Newark Liberty International Airport, originally Newark Metropolitan Airport and later Newark International Airport, is an international airport located about 15 miles (24 km) southwest of Midtown Manhattan (New York City). It straddles the boundary between Newark and Elizabeth, New Jersey. The airport is owned by the city of Newark and leased to and operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Newark Airport was the first major airport in the United States and through 2013 was the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area’s busiest in terms of flights. Teterboro Airport

Teterboro Airport is a general aviation relief airport located in the boroughs of Teterboro, Moonachie, and Hasbrouck Heights in Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is owned and managed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and operated by AFCO AvPORTS Management. The airport is in the New Jersey Meadowlands, 12 miles (19 km) from Midtown Manhattan, which makes it very popular for private and corporate aircraft. The airport has a weight limit of 100,000 pounds (45,000 kg) on aircraft, which is meant to make it nonviable as a commercial airport. The airport takes up almost all of Teterboro and consists of 827 acres (3.35 km2): 90 acres (0.36 km2) for aircraft hangar and offices, 408 acres (1.65 km2) for aeronautical use and runways, and 329 acres (1.33 km2) undeveloped.

Long Island MacArthur Airport

Long Island MacArthur Airport (also known as Islip Airport) is a public airport on Long Island, in Ronkonkoma, Town of Islip, Suffolk County, New York. The Town owns and operates the airport, which serves about two million commercial passengers a year, as well as general aviation. Long Island MacArthur Airport (LIMA) covers 1,311 acres (531 ha) and has four runways and two helipads. Located between Montauk Point 72 miles (116 km) to the east and Manhattan 60 miles (97 km) to the west, MacArthur Airport serves the three million residents of Nassau and Suffolk counties and travelers who want an alternative to the congestion at JFK and LaGuardia airports – both in Queens. Shuttle buses connect the airport to the Ronkonkoma Railroad Station. The FAA designated LIMA an Official Metro Airport in early 2011, meaning it is now grouped with LaGuardia, JFK, and Newark in travel and informational searches for New York airports, providing better exposure to the traveling public. Westchester County Airport

Westchester County Airport HPN is a county-owned airport in Westchester County, New York, three miles (6 km) northeast of the central business district of White Plains, in the towns of Harrison, North Castle and Rye. The airfield is also sometimes referred to as White Plains Airport and has been identified by this name in the past by the Official Airline Guide (OAG). It serves suburban Westchester County, New York and Fairfield County, Connecticut (the New York-Connecticut state border coincides with the airport’s eastern limits). It also serves the New York metropolitan area, as it is about 33 miles (53 km) north of Midtown Manhattan. The Westchester County Airport is currently served by five commercial airlines which include regional code-sharing affiliates flying scheduled passenger service on behalf of their respective major airline partners to sixteen destinations in the United States. Two scheduled charter airlines also offer flights out of the airport.This airport is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015.
